Meet Coach Tyler!
Tyler aka tico tico (nicknamed by professor Leo years ago) is a long time personal friend of our family. We could not be more thrilled or proud to have him as part of our team of instructors here at Rapadura.
“I have a love for this sport that I want to share with as many people as possible. I truly believe that striking is for everyone, and you can train with purpose no matter what type of goals you want to achieve.”
We are so excited to have Coach Tyler as our head kickboxing instructor!
Though you are part of a group setting make no mistake, your individual needs are constantly
evaluated as our coach develops drills to challenge each of our students at their level.
Tyler is an accomplished coach with years of experience in various size groups. I think you'll quickly agree he is an exiting and engaging instructor. Tyler's coaching goals are to make sure his students continually improve on an individual level while maintaining group environment fit for all.
His commitment and ability to understand each students skill level and personal goals makes his class a perfect fit for beginners to advanced students. Whether you choose to train for fitness, self-defense, or simple challenge yourself to develop a new skill, this program is for you!
What you can expect:
Fitness: The foundation of a good striker is always cardio and endurance, this program provides ways to reach your individual fitness goals and continually challenge you to push through and reach levels you never thought possible. These fitness skills not only apply to overall health but is the foundation for all physical exercise.
Confidence: A universal truth of all martial arts is: Through learning a physical self defense technique we naturally build self confidence as well as improve our overall physical and mental health. While self-defense ability takes hard work and commitment, the confidence you gain every step of the way will be felt throughout your daily life.
Self-defense: Most students are not looking to become professional competitors, and most hope to never actually trully need to defend themselves against an attacker. However, the ability to have proper technique, situational awareness, and an understanding of one’s own abilities is key to self-defense, and could be the difference in an emergency.
What to expect at your level: All classes are aged 13+ and require no previous experience. You can expect to hop right into a class if ready or take time to get comfortable with the basics with the instructor. Your first few classes will be treated as an introduction class. The instructor will learn each students fitness level and abilities while also learning your goals.
